Artist Against All Odds: The Story of Robert Strong Woodward
Robin Brooks at The Beauty of Books worked in collaboration with Paideia Publishers and author Janet Gerry to design and produce Artist Against All Odds: The Story of Robert Strong Woodward. (7 x 9")
Janet wrote this book for children about twelve years of age, but larger type was used to accommodate the eyes of the older community that would undoubtedly be interested in reading about this local hero. Robert Woodward, an artist in the vicinity of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, lost the use of his legs after an accident with his gun. A paraplegic from then on, he used his hard-forged courage and strength to continue his landscape painting through windows and even out of doors. Please see the website of Robert Strong Woodward. |
