Robin Brooks at The Beauty of Books worked with personal historian/editor Francie King of HistoryKeep to design and produce Vince St. Onge: MY LIFE. (7 1/2” x 9 1/4,” 260 pages)
Robin says: "My first conversation with Vince began with him telling me: I was born in my mother's bed in a two-story, cold water walk-up.
"Somewhat of a troublemaker as a kid, not expecting to go to college, he excelled as a basketball player. When he entered the Air Force, he kept playing.
"It was one of his coaches that said to him: Vince, you have a choice in life. You can make something of yourself or not.
"Vince met this challenge head on. At retirement he was president of Precision Materials at GTE.
I love this book, and working with Vince and his wife Joanne was a dream.
This was my first time collaborating with Francie Kingin her role as personal historian rather than simply editor. She did her usual stellar job, especially maintaining Vince's voice — tough, strong, telling it like it is. She was just excellent! I couldn't recommend her more.
